Our Beliefs

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. We believe that the KJV, MKJV, NKJV and ISV is as close to the original that we can get, the Word of God.

The deity of Jesus Christ (The Word made flesh) - The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, the Word born in flesh by immaculate conception of the Holy Spirit and a virgin woman specifically, Mary. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This expresses the absolute deity of Jesus Christ who was the Word made flesh, and his authority of heaven and creation as given by the Father.

Obedience - This should be the theme by which all Christians live. Upon salvation be baptized, find an assembly of believers with which to have fellowship (house church, bible study group, non/inter/denominational church), read the Word daily, pray without ceasing, love others (even your enemies) as you would love yourself, give to those who are in need of it, give your tithes with a glad heart. This is not a complete list, but it is a great start.

The Trinity - The Holy Spirit is the personal manifestation of the Father and the Son. The Word, or the Son, is the Christ Jesus. The Father is the omnipotent, all-powerful Father of all. These entities are not individual gods, but are one.

"We know that God created all things. We know also that the Word existed with God before all things were even made, not only in fellowship, but in function and power. We also know that God's Spirit existed with them as His Spirit moved upon the face of the waters at earth's creation. Here we have God, Word, and Spirit. They are referred to separately because of function and relationship to each other. Are there three Gods? Of course not. There is only one God. We know that through the Word did God make all things. As God said "Let there be light", the Word was spoken and God's will is done. The Word is the living Word of the Living God. We also understand that as God's Spirit moved upon the waters, His will was also done."

These entities are of the same substance (which is the Godhead). The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one as they are unified by deity. They are the same substance although the authority and will of the Father is the authority and will of both the Son and the Spirit.

Salvation - Salvation is only through the belief of the Lord Jesus Christ, and his Gospel. Acceptance of Him washes away our sins, and makes us new beings

Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father but by me."

Colossians 3:8-11
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Baptism - Baptism is done by full immersion as the bible indicates. This is the open testimony a saved person gives to the acceptance of Jesus Christ. Baptism alone does not save.

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

John 14:13 "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Denomination - Although we do not proclaim a denomination, we are a conservative and fundamentalist ministry, and consider ourselves to be Christians.

Fornication - We believe the Bible is clear that God designed sex to be enjoyed within the confines of a marriage between one man and one woman. This is not hatred, we do not hate anyone neither should any other Christian. Morality is absolute and sin is sin, so we will just call it what it is and accept the fact that everyone is guilty of sin and that no sin is greater or less than another by the new covenant. Intentionally committing sin violates God's requirements and it is against God.

Oneness - We believe the Bible clearly describes God as a Trinity - existing in three distinct persons - the Father, the Son (Jesus, the Word), and the Holy Spirit.

Abortion - We believe that the sanctity of life is an explicit truth, and that abortion is a form of murder and hatred. We have been shown in the bible that a fetus can sense things around it, and therefore is a live person.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart

Read the following verses on abortion and sanctity of life:

Exodus 20:13, 21:22, 23:7; Job 10:8-12; Psalms 22:10, 51:5, 127:3, 139:13-16; Isaiah 44:1-2, 49:5; Jeremiah 1:4-5

Pre-Existence - We believe that the doctrine of pre-existence is apostasy. We existed in the mind of God who knew who we would be (He does, after all, know everything at all times and at any time). This does not mean that we literally existed, only that God knew when, what , how, and where, we would exist. We are not eternal creatures, we are only eternal once we have been created by God. We never existed until God breathed our spirit into us.

Universal Reconciliation - God desires that all come to salvation, but not all will and those that do not will perish in destruction.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You accept Christ for eternal life. Otherwise, you perish. This is a simple fact and absolute. There will be no reconciliation after death, only judgment. We have our entire lives to make this decision, and once we die without accepting our redemption, we will perish in the second death.

The Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is the Spirit by which we are reborn. We are given this Spirit at salvation (upon complete acceptance of Jesus the Christ); it makes us a new creature. The Spirit empowers us to do whatever it is in the will of God for us to do. The Holy Spirit seals us unto the coming of our Lord.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to those obedient to the Word, and have the indwelling of the Spirit of God. This is not the same as being given the Spirit at salvation. The indwelling of the Spirit comes from obedient life, and through this indwelling we will receive gifts according to God's will. These gifts include prophecy, teaching, faith, healing, tongues and the interpretation of tongues, to name a few. The gifts are given according to God's will and timing, not our own.

Young Earth/Creationism - We believe that the earth is about 6,000 years old. We know that dating techniques used by science to date materials such as rocks and fossils is errant and therefore is not reliable. This dating is made by man's inference which means it is relative to their beliefs. This is evidenced by supporters of evolution, the gap-theory, theistic evolution, old-earth creation, etc. in that they basically claim that science supports their position. Errors in the very dating techniques used does not support any of these positions; it actually helps falsify them.

For scientific reasons and the Word of God, we belive that the earth can NOT be millions of years old because of provable, observable scientific facts that show the contrary. These facts are what we adamantly seek to talk about in our ministry. See www.answersingenesis.com for a better understanding of our beliefs.
